The Dreaded Perry Head
This is why I read James Lileks:
The other day a friend told me about a local talk show host who was going on a tear about older parents, people in their forties who had kids; he called them disgusting. If he has kids of his own, he’s an idiot. If he doesn’t have kids he’s an idiot twice over. There’s really only one response to people like that:You should too.
It’s not often I deploy the cruelty of the Perry Head, but this is such a moment.
